About the position

The Electrical Superintendent will oversee the day-to-day field operations of electrical projects, ensuring safety, quality control, and effective communication with project managers and subcontractors. This role is crucial for managing manpower and maintaining project schedules within a stable and growth-oriented electrical contracting company in Tampa, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field operations of electrical projects.
• Oversee manpower and safety practices on-site.
• Hire and fire field personnel as necessary.
• Communicate job progress and changes in scope with the project manager.
• Coordinate electrical work with other subcontractors on the job site.
• Assist estimating team with pricing, scope changes, and change orders.
• Ensure projects run safely, effectively, and on schedule.
• Monitor and instruct the electrical team on best practices during installations.
• Ensure quality control throughout the project.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in running electrical commercial and/or hospital projects with budgets of $5 million or more.
• Experience managing labor and installation crews of 20+ electricians and workers.
• Ability to read and understand construction blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
• Stable work history with no more than 3 jobs in the last 10 years.
• Excellent understanding of NEC codes.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
