Responsibilities

  • Maintains, inspects, troubleshoots and repairs electrical, electronic, pneumatic controls, hydraulic controls and equipment (including PLC's) throughout the facility.
  • Instrumentation trouble shooting / repairs: Level transmitters, temperature sensors, metering devices, heating elements.
  • Tests and diagnoses malfunctioning machinery and reviews diagnosis for proper corrective action with other maintenance workers such as mechanics and supervisors.
  • Performs expedient corrective maintenance on production equipment and building electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Siemens equipment.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Diagnose electric motor, motor control, and device control problems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair sensors on equipment.
  • Ability to identify and order parts and materials from manufacturers manuals and prints.
  • Perform electrical preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as required.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Siemens experience is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cascaded drive systems, ladder logic, AB PLCs, AB RS View 32, DC Drive systems, AC Vectored Drive Systems, Programming.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
