About the position

MTSI is seeking an Electrical / Hardware Engineer to contribute to critical national defense and security programs. This role involves performing foreign materiel exploitation (FME) of threat air defense and missile systems, including detailed analysis, reverse engineering, and hardware-in-the-loop testing. The engineer will collaborate with a team of experts to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH, while embodying the company's values of employee ownership and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform foreign materiel exploitation (FME) of threat air defense and missile systems.
  • Conduct detailed system and subsystem analysis and reverse engineering.
  • Execute hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing and test design.
  • Collaborate with a team of FME experts across MTSI and partners.
  • Analyze hardware and software components and build representative models.
  • Integrate hardware and software capabilities into a test capability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related professional experience, or a master's degree and 2-5 years of experience.
  • Understanding of electrical engineering concepts, particularly embedded systems, circuit analysis, and guidance/navigation/control systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook).
  • Experience with lab tools, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, data acquisition systems, and digital multimeters.
