About the position
The Electrical Engineering Intern position at Westinghouse offers an opportunity for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering to gain practical experience in the nuclear energy industry. Interns will work on engineering design and analysis for nuclear products, collaborating with various internal teams to support clean energy solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work independently using knowledge from core college courses.
- Utilize software packages such as Mathcad, Matlab, PSPice, and learn new packages quickly.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Provide engineering design and analysis for nuclear products/projects, including electrical system design and instrumentation controls.
- Interface with internal functional groups to obtain necessary information for work assignments.
- Plan and schedule work to meet assignment requirements.
- Evaluate, select, and utilize standards, techniques, procedures, and criteria for developing engineering design documents.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
- Completion of Sophomore year college by May 2025.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
