About the position
The Electrical Engineering Intern position at Jacobs offers an opportunity for students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, working within the Energy and Power Solutions team. Interns will engage in system design calculations and collaborate with other engineering and architectural trades, under the mentorship of senior technical staff. This role emphasizes the importance of accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in project work, allowing interns to progress from basic assignments to more complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide system design calculations and related design services.
- Coordinate with designs of other trades, including architectural and engineering.
- Demonstrate ownership of work assigned, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated projects in conjunction with a technical team.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an ABET accredited Electrical Engineering Degree Program.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous applicable internship experience.
- Completed 2 years of Bachelor's degree program.
