Requirements

  • BS Architectural Engineering, or BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in building system design preferred
  • Experience with AGI for lighting photometrics
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and experience with REVIT
  • Knowledge of Electrical design and applicable codes.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines and customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates must have current work authorization in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for a variety of building types, including: Electrical distribution and standby/emergency power systems, Lighting design (interior/exterior), lighting controls, and photometric analysis, Fire alarm, life safety, security, and communications systems, Energy conservation and code compliance strategies
  • Prepare one-line diagrams, load calculations, and panel schedules
  • Perform conductor sizing and voltage drop calculations
  • Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines and architects to deliver integrated designs
  • Contribute to project documentation: meeting minutes, weekly progress reports, submittal reviews, RFIs, and punch lists
  • Support project management and construction administration phases
  • Apply knowledge of NEC, ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and applicable codes and standards
