About the position

The EHS Regulatory Compliance Specialist/Project Manager at GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is responsible for assisting clients with environmental, health, safety, and sustainability compliance and permitting. This role involves applying technical expertise to manage projects across various sectors, conducting regulatory analyses, and preparing documentation. The position emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and mentorship within a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with EHS compliance and permitting for air, water, waste, sustainability, and hazardous materials.
• Conduct technical and regulatory analyses and prepare reports and documents including audit reports and permit applications.
• Manage projects across power, renewable energy, industry, infrastructure, and real estate sectors.
• Interact with clients to provide professional solutions and expand business opportunities.
• Collaborate with EHS and sustainability practice leaders to enhance market presence.
• Mentor, train, and develop junior and mid-level staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in engineering, science, health, or a related technical field.
• 5-10+ years of experience and knowledge of EHS law and regulation at the state and federal level.
• Strong leadership and project management experience.
• Direct business development experience with the ability to generate leads and build relationships.
• Ability to exercise professional judgement and maintain attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• CIH, CSP, CHMM, and/or PE certifications preferred but not required.
