About the position

The EHS Field Officer will work within the Environmental, Health and Safety team at Imerys, contributing to the common objective of zero workplace accidents and incidents. This role involves providing EHS support for business teams, travelling to sites within the St Austell area, conducting workplace audits and inspections, and assisting with compliance and training. The position is full-time, requiring 37.5 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility in hours between 7am and 4pm.

Responsibilities

  • Providing EHS support for business teams
  • Travelling to sites within the St Austell area to provide support and advice
  • Coordinating EHS matters at site and function levels
  • Conducting workplace audits and inspections and communicating findings
  • Supporting and advising on compliance
  • Administering and maintaining site reporting databases for clarity and accuracy
  • Assisting with and delivering training

Requirements

  • Experience working as an EHS professional in an industrial environment or relevant EHS qualification
  • Passion for EHS and a desire to make a positive impact
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with people
  • Legal ability to drive in the UK
  • Proficiency in IT
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Demonstrated understanding of EHS legislation
