About the position
Lebanon Elementary School is seeking a Long Term Substitute Paraeducator to support our students and teachers. This position is essential for maintaining a positive learning environment and assisting in the educational process. The successful candidate will work closely with students, providing support in various classroom activities and ensuring that each child receives the attention they need to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in the classroom with instructional activities
- Support students with special needs
- Supervise students during activities and transitions
- Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Patience and a positive attitude
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a paraeducator or in a similar role
- Familiarity with special education practices
- First aid and CPR certification
