About the position
The Educational Assistant (Kindergarten) at Stone Elementary School is responsible for supporting the educational environment for students. This position requires maintaining a safe environment, assisting with the overall operation of the program, and conducting activities as directed by the certified teacher. The role is crucial in ensuring that academic and behavioral standards are upheld while providing support to students and teachers alike.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe environment
- Attends in-service training
- Understands and maintains the academic and behavioral standards set for the students by the certified teacher
- Assists with the overall operation of the program while the students are present
- Maintains records as directed
- Conducts individualized and/or group activities with students as directed by the certified teacher
- Assists in the care, maintenance and ordering of classroom equipment and materials
- Assists with the clerical duties as assigned by the certified teacher
- Performs other duties as assigned
