This role involves guiding, instructing, and communicating assigned work to employees within the department. The Group Leader will monitor group quality and performance, ensuring the team adheres to work instructions and data card requirements. They will assist the Ops Leader in planning personnel utilization for efficiency and profitability, maintaining workflow to meet schedules, and ensuring equipment is in good working order. The position also involves assisting the Ops Leader with product quality, company policies, safety programs, and departmental paperwork. The Group Leader will keep the Ops Leader informed of operating difficulties, submit recommendations for improvement, and assist workers with work-related problems, including quality issues. Identifying and communicating employee training needs to the supervisor and providing training are key responsibilities. The role also includes providing input to the Ops Leader and team members on Quality, Safety, Performance Appraisals, Productivity, Potential Discipline, and Reward & Recognition. Group Leaders are expected to perform their usual classification responsibilities as required and other similar duties.
