About The Position
We are a fast-paced, growing Cardiologist Practice seeking an Echo Tech. This position will be responsible for independently performing echo procedures in our clinical settings. The ideal candidate must have experience in performing Adult Echos, the ideal candidate must also be able to work in a fast- paced environment.
Requirements
- Must have completed an Echo Technologist course of training
- RDCS or RCS Certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) is required
Nice To Haves
- Prefer at least 1 year of experience in echocardiography
Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms, M-mode, and Doppler evaluations on patients to evaluate cardiac functioning
- Follow physician protocols to ensure accuracy for each patient
- Capture images using ultrasound imaging technology for review by cardiologists
- Monitor patient conditions during the echocardiogram procedure
- Explain the echocardiogram procedure to patients prior to the test
- Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment
- Calibrate and clean equipment after each use
- Maintain patient records in accordance with Privacy and HIPAA regulations
- Document findings and results of echocardiograms
- Work with cardiologists to provide patient care and support
