About The Position

VCA Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists is seeking a DVM Intern to join their team. This internship program is supported by board-certified veterinary surgeons and a neurosurgeon, offering exposure to diverse surgical techniques and clinical approaches. The hospital is a state-of-the-art facility with departments including surgery, internal medicine, radiation therapy, neurology, canine rehabilitation therapy, and emergency and critical care. The facility boasts advanced imaging (MRI, CT), a linear accelerator, arthroscopic tower, and in-house laboratory services. The internship is designed for candidates who have completed a 1-year rotating internship, 3 years of general practice, or a prior surgical internship, and who plan to pursue a surgical residency. The intern's time will be divided between three operating clinicians, focusing on developing a strong candidate for residency. Upon completion, the candidate will be proficient in surgical planning, approaches and closures, literature interpretation, manuscript preparation, boards preparation, client communication, and patient care. There is an opportunity to apply for a VCA-sponsored residency, and time off will be provided for residency interviews.
