About the position
The Store Associate at DSW is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to in-store shoppers and those engaging through omni-channel services. This role involves assisting customers, managing merchandise, and ensuring a clean and safe shopping environment. Store Associates act as brand ambassadors, embodying the company's values and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach.
- Share the benefits of the DSW Loyalty program and enroll new members.
- Answer questions regarding products and complete customer transactions.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and safe shopping environment.
- Receive inbound freight and prepare merchandise for the sales floor.
- Complete all functions of the fulfillment process including locating items and packaging for delivery.
- Follow DSW's policies and procedures during customer transactions.
- Participate in daily team meetings and ongoing training.
Requirements
- Must have availability to meet the needs of the business.
- Professional, friendly, and customer service focused.
- Ability to move with tempo to meet time-bound expectations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of technology for customer interactions.
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing or walking around the store.
- Ability to lift up to a maximum of 50 pounds occasionally to frequently.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently.
