About The Position

National Beef Leathers of St. Joseph, Missouri, is seeking individuals interested in working as a Drum Operator on a rotating night shift schedule. This is a full-time position with a 3 ½ day work week and a 4-week rotation. The role involves administering chemicals, monitoring drums and processes to maintain hide quality, performing hide quality audits, proper chemical handling, and computer operation. This is a safety-sensitive, on-site position.

Requirements

Read, write and speak English
Be clean-shaven is advised for personal safety purposes due to position requiring use of respiratory equipment
Have High School Diploma or equivalent
Be willing to work 12 hour shifts, including weekends
Be able to lift at least 55 pounds
Be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment
Have computing and mathematical skills
Have the ability to distinguish color, color coded buckets for chemicals
Have the ability to go up and down stairs
Be a team player
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
