About the position

The Driver, Warehouse Delivery position involves assembling and delivering customer orders accurately and in a timely manner. The role requires checking merchandise for accuracy before delivery, assisting in warehouse operations, and ensuring safety checks on vehicles and equipment. The position is essential for maintaining inventory and cleanliness in the warehouse and sales areas.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and deliver customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Check merchandise before delivery for accuracy and shortages.
• Deliver merchandise to the prescribed delivery location and obtain recipient's signature for inventory confirmation.
• Assist in warehouse operations, including receipting for material and moving material between the retail floor and warehouse.
• Participate in regular product warehouse inventories and area maintenance tasks.
• Perform safety checks on vehicles, forklifts, and material handling equipment before use.
• Ensure forklifts and material handling equipment are connected to electrical recharges as necessary.
• Assist on the sales floor or warehouse as directed by management.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by store management.

Requirements

• High School Graduate with two years of relevant training.
• Forklift and warehouse experience in a military or commercial environment is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and material documentation.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record; a commercial driver's license and medical certificate may be required depending on the hiring location.
