About the position

GEI Consultants is seeking a REVIT/CADD Drafter/Designer to join their team in either Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC. The role involves preparing engineering design drawings for various projects, including dams, levees, and civil site designs. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring high-quality outputs while adhering to industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop plan sets.
• Create, update, and maintain engineering drawings, incorporating redlines and field markups.
• Develop quality products using industry and client standards.
• Communicate with clients and project teams regularly throughout the design process.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely completion of multiple projects.

Requirements

• A.S. Degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field strongly preferred.
• 1-2+ years of REVIT experience generating and detailing complex drawings for structural projects.
• At least 2 years of experience with AutoCAD 2018 or higher and Civil3D is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with M.S. Office applications, specifically Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in environmental remediation projects.
• Familiarity with hydraulic structures and excavation support systems.
