About the position

The Mechanical Drafter/Designer at The Judge Group Inc. is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for mechanical equipment and systems. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, proficiency in CAD software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical drawings and schematics based on engineering specifications and requirements.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to create and modify drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of designs.
• Review and revise drawings to meet project specifications and standards.
• Maintain organized records of all drawings and related documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Mechanical Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with 3D modeling software.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
