Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking Dozer Operator for the Cookeville and surrounding Upper Cumberland areas The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth. Job Details: Fulltime/Permanent Day Shift Weekend work may be required Overtime available

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating bulldozers and heavy equipment
  • Strong understanding of grading, compaction, and earthmoving techniques.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, grade stakes, and basic site layouts.
  • Good mechanical aptitude for inspections and minor adjustments.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and handle heavy equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with GPS/laser grade control systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Operate bulldozers and attachments to cut, push, spread, backfill, and grade soil and materials according to project specifications
  • Read site plans, grade stakes, and use GPS or laser grade control systems to achieve precise grading.
  • Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections, report defects, and coordinate basic maintenanc.
  • Maintain safe operating practices, including following traffic control, flagging, and site-specific safety rules.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, spotters, and other equipment operators to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Manage fuel, fluids, and lubrication checks, and keep the work area free of hazards
  • Complete daily logs and report progress to the site superintendent
  • Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
