About the position
The Door Security position at Waltham Public Schools is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the school environment by managing visitor access and assisting with student tardiness. The role involves signing in visitors and volunteers, issuing ID badges, and ensuring that all visitors are escorted by staff when children are present. Additionally, the position requires receiving and forwarding items delivered for students and staff, as well as performing other assigned duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Ensures all visitors/volunteers sign in and are assigned ID badges
- Contacts the party the visitor wishes to see or directs the person to the main office
- Ensures all visitors are escorted by staff when children are in school
- Ensures all students who are tardy sign in and has them report to the main office or the classroom
- Receives various items delivered/dropped off for students and staff and forwards accordingly
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required
Requirements
- Bilingual Preferred (Spanish)
