Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly examine and grade donated goods for sale in Goodwill retail stores.
  • Process goods efficiently to meet production goals while adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Display a professional and patient attitude with guests.
  • Provide donation receipts to guests at the time of donating.
  • Handle guest questions and resolve problems according to agency procedures.
  • Sort donations into designated categories appropriately.
  • Communicate effectively with management when necessary.
  • Perform work tasks according to training playbooks and work instructions.
  • Promote cooperation and teamwork with peers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized donor door area at the attended donation center.
  • Adhere to safety and security practices, reporting hazards to management.
  • Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading donations.
  • Attend and complete all required trainings and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year or more of production experience preferred.
  • Basic math and reading skills are required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English are necessary.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to work at any Goodwill of North Georgia ADC within the territory as needed.
  • Must be 18 years or older to operate a forklift.
