About The Position

Serves as a senior level Program Manager providing expert leadership, oversight, and direction for complex DoD programs. Leads cost, schedule, and performance management activities, ensuring alignment with mission objectives, acquisition requirements, and stakeholder expectations. Applies advanced program management methodologies, acquisition principles, and SAP compliant processes to deliver high visibility, high impact program outcomes. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • DAWIA Advanced/Level III certification must be achieved within 24 months of appointment
  • US Citizen
  • Active Secret clearance with eligibility for SAP access
  • MS/MA degree in a relevant field
  • Over 10 years of DoD program, cost, and schedule management experience
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Minimum 5 years of Special Access Program (SAP) experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in DoD acquisition processes, milestone documentation, and program management frameworks
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Proven ability to lead cross functional teams and manage complex, multistakeholder programs.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and decision making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting major defense acquisition programs (MDAPs) or high visibility SAP initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM), risk management frameworks, and advanced scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Experience briefing senior DoD leadership and oversight authorities.
  • Knowledge of acquisition policy updates, governance structures, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior level leadership and oversight for program planning, execution, cost control, schedule management, and performance tracking.
  • Lead development and management of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), cost estimates, risk registers, and program baselines.
  • Oversee program documentation, acquisition artifacts, milestone reviews, and reporting requirements in accordance with DoD and SAP policies.
  • Coordinate with government leadership, functional teams, contractors, and mission partners to ensure program alignment and timely execution.
  • Conduct advanced analysis of program risks, dependencies, and resource requirements; develop mitigation strategies and decision ready recommendations.
  • Support development of acquisition strategies, program roadmaps, and long range planning documents.
  • Prepare senior level briefings, reports, and presentations for leadership, oversight bodies, and SAP governance structures.
  • Ensure all program activities comply with SAP security protocols, classification guidelines, and information handling requirements.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement of program management processes and tools.
