This opportunity is unique to active-duty US Military Service members with formal approval to participate as a SkillBridge Intern in collaboration with Vets2PM's authorized DoD SkillBridge program.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with the customers (for Service) to diagnose their HVAC/Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, or Integrated Security electronic control system malfunctions and use your expertise to maintain, repair, or (for Solutions) install new equipment; commissioning if needed.
  • Consult with our internal engineering and management team for discrepancies in our drawings or as problems arise.
  • Interface with the customers: complete the service work documentation, assist them with training instructions needed for future ease-of-use, and (most importantly) recommend system enhancements providing a value-added partner relationship.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • U.S. Military experience as an E4 or above (Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, Reserves)
  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED
  • Experience in the installation and maintenance of security products; 1+ years preferred
  • Ability to read and understand design and construction documents
  • Ability to meet local or state safety requirements within 1 year
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
  • Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and move heavy equipment and tools.
  • Ability to work in a variety of circumstances including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, and working in ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.

  • Experience in HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of Fire/Life Safety systems
  • Familiarity with Integrated Security systems
