About the position

The DME Coordinator II at Clearway Pain Solutions is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) program. This role focuses on maximizing patient outcomes through effective administration of procedures, training staff, managing procurement processes, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The coordinator will also enhance customer satisfaction by organizing DME dispensing processes and educating patients and staff on product usage.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and monitors the day-to-day operational activities and sets strategic goals.
  • Trains and supports staff throughout the organization and provides constructive feedback.
  • Regularly evaluates the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and implements changes designed for improvements.
  • Manages procurement and inventory processes and coordinates material and resource allocation.
  • Oversees customer DME dispensing processes and organizes them to enhance customer satisfaction and establish best practices.
  • Educates patients and support staff on the application, use, care, and expected outcome for products as indicated by the provider instructions and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Revises and/or formulates policies and promotes their implementation.
  • Manages relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors.
  • Evaluates overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics.
  • Ensures that the program runs with legality and conformity to established regulations.
  • Participates in and completes all required trainings and in-services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least two (2) years of related experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of various business software (i.e.: ERP, CRM, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of industry's legal rules and guidelines.
  • In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and operations metrics.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance coverage policies and ICD-10.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work individually as well as within a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Ability to perform calculations, problem solve, and use reasoning.
  • Knowledge of medical practices and medical terminology.
  • Ability to meet predefined production and quality standards.
  • Ability to effectively manage and direct others.
