About the position

The District Leader at CVS Health plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of multiple retail stores within a designated district. This position focuses on driving operational excellence, developing talent, and ensuring exceptional patient and customer outcomes. The District Leader is responsible for executing business strategies, managing financial performance, and fostering a culture of growth and engagement among colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall retail store operations in assigned district, including Front Store and Pharmacy.
  • Develops and executes district business plans and strategies to deliver on all financial measures, including P&L Management, Sales and Script budgets, and Inventory Management.
  • Aligns front store and pharmacy teams on new and existing programs and services and execution expectations within the District.
  • Communicates District plans and problem solves on store-related issues.
  • Creates and leads District culture that ensures a differentiated customer experience.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to pharmacy.
  • Develops and executes district talent plan to align with region and division priorities.
  • Responsible for creating a culture in the District that promotes colleague growth and engagement.
  • Accountable for District succession plans and development, ensuring the right talent is focused on delivering appropriate outcomes.
  • Provides market-specific input towards the development of the acquisition and real estate strategy.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience in a management role.
  • Experience in retail management, preferably in a multi-unit environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on developing talent and operational excellence.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years experience as a multi-unit manager or 5 years as a GM in a big box retailer.
  • Prior retail experience preferred.
  • Prior pharmacy experience preferred.
