About The Position

The Distribution & Facilities Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for Facilities & Maintenance, Industrial Engineering, and Finished Goods Warehouse Operations. This role is responsible for creating safe, efficient, and scalable operations that support current business needs and future growth. This leader owns the infrastructure, systems, production flow, and performance that enable internal customer satisfaction while balancing annual operating plans, capital investments, and long-term strategy. This role inspires and develops high-performing teams, drives continuous improvement, and ensures world-class performance across facilities, engineering, maintenance, logistics, and warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical), Facility Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, facilities, engineering, or operations.
  • 7+ years of industrial engineering, manufacturing, or operational experience.
  • Analytical thinker with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
  • Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Comfortable interfacing with shop floor teams, leadership, vendors, and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and drive results.
  • Be able to lift at least 25 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. for short periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with facilities management, maintenance leadership, logistics, and finished goods operations preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred.
  • ERP experience; Epicor a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic vision and execution for facilities, maintenance, industrial engineering, and finished goods warehouse operations.
  • Plan and adjust business and production needs on a weekly and annual basis while understanding impacts to cost, capacity, and service levels.
  • Lead cross-functional teams with diverse skill sets to deliver operational excellence and internal customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with multiple departments throughout the Village to support growth, customer needs, and organizational objectives.
  • Lead all facilities activities including maintenance, systems, calibration, equipment planning, buildings, grounds, and utilities.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs.
  • Analyze equipment reliability, downtime, repair time metrics, and capacity to ensure uptime requirements are met.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors for maintenance, waste, recycling, and facility services.
  • Manage critical spare parts, tooling inventories, contingency planning (compressors and critical equipment), and capital projects.
  • Ensure accurate communication of maintenance schedules, costs, and impacts to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead industrial engineering efforts to design and optimize production flow, plant layouts, and value streams to support growth and flexibility.
  • Analyze current systems and processes to identify value-added and non-value-added activities.
  • Design, test, and implement innovative solutions using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis.
  • Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment, and materials to improve scheduling accuracy, throughput, and cost effectiveness.
  • Lead productivity improvement initiatives and employee training related to continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership for finished goods warehouse and logistics operations to ensure safe, efficient, and economical material flow.
  • Participate in planning activities related to warehouse and production alignment across multiple brands.
  • Track daily performance metrics and ensure countermeasures and recovery plans are in place for missed targets.
  • Recommend and implement changes to staffing and equipment to support demand and cost objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to departmental budgets, including expenses and capital spending.
  • Maintain 5S standards and ensure a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and inspire teams across maintenance, engineering, and warehouse operations.
  • Train and supervise maintenance and operations employees, ensuring skill development and engagement.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and employee involvement.
  • Drive performance management, recognition, and development planning for team members.
  • Champion a safety-first culture for employees, vendors, and guests, ensuring a world-class safety experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in accident investigations and ensure preventative measures are implemented.
  • Support quality assurance and engineering controls to ensure product reliability and customer compliance.
  • Lead documentation efforts including work instructions, visuals, and standard operating procedures.
