About The Position

The Team Lead will be required to oversee staff within their work area to ensure they are performing their duties in accordance with company standards and policy. In addition, supporting the Management Team with the day-to-day operation of the DC, responsible for a group of operators and ensuring an efficient DC operation in achieving business targets.

Requirements

At least one (1) year of leadership in a Distribution Center/ Warehouse environment.
High School Diploma.
Three+ years of proven warehouse experience.
At least one year of experience in warehouse leadership.
Ability to motivate, develop and lead others.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/ cost of poor quality.
Good planning skills and able to meet targets and deadlines.
Excellent attention to details.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Products to include excel.
Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Oversee staff within their work area to ensure they are performing their duties in accordance with company standards and policy.
Support the Management Team with the day-to-day operation of the DC.
Be responsible for a group of operators and ensuring an efficient DC operation in achieving business targets.
Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation which can fulfill operational and customer demand and meet set goals.
Ensure the delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production schedules.
Assist in the training of new DC associates within area of responsibility.
Resolve any issues or problems which occur.
Elevate issues to a more senior level where appropriate.
Review ways to reduce errors and wastes.
Ensure staff comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the DC environment.
Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency.
Assist pickers in reducing transition time between order batches.
Process orders requiring special handling.
Pick bulk orders requiring the use of powered industrial equipment.
Run nightly reports on error and production.
Perform product relocations.
Perform bin audits.
Other duties as assigned.
