About The Position

Under general supervision, this role is responsible for receiving, putting away, replenishing, picking, packing, staging, and shipping general, medical, and surgical supplies within the Distribution Center. The position involves receiving Purchase Orders into the system, providing cross-docking services, and directing other Distribution Center Associates. This role also involves auditing work for quality and accuracy, leading special projects, overseeing staff, performing rounding for compliance, prioritizing workload, providing performance input to supervisors, training other associates, processing returns, and offering responsive customer support. This includes creating STAT requisitions, correcting order quantities, and assisting customers with locating orders. The role requires operating various equipment to transport items and maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety procedures. Reporting inventory discrepancies and assisting with inventory counts are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Supply Chain or related field.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced distribution environment and meet productivity standards.
  • Willingness to learn; be coachable.
  • Proficient in typing, computer use, and quickly learning new software applications.

  • Automated supply/distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, put away, replenish, pick, pack, stage, and ship general, medical, and surgical supplies.
  • Perform receipt of Purchase Orders into the system and provide cross-docking services.
  • Provide direction to other Distribution Center Associates.
  • Audit, inspect, and verify work for quality, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Lead special projects.
  • Oversee staff and perform rounding to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Prioritize workload and requests for the assigned team.
  • Provide input regarding performance to Supervisor or Manager.
  • Train other Distribution Center Associates.
  • Process return of goods back into the system at the Distribution Center.
  • Provide responsive customer support by creating STAT requisitions, correcting order quantities, communicating effectively, and helping customers locate missing orders.
  • Receive Purchase Orders in the system and stage supplies for delivery.
  • Perform put away of receipted product.
  • Replenish inventory in low unit of measure locations from bulk locations.
  • Pick orders utilizing various technology platforms and pack them in appropriate containers.
  • Stage orders in appropriate delivery zones and prepare them for shipping.
  • Operate hand truck, carts, dollies, “man-up” order-picker, and walkie to transport stored items from warehouse locations for shipment.
  • Keep shelves, pallet areas, and workstations clean and organized; maintain a tidy shipping supply area; and follow all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Report inventory discrepancies and document according to policy.
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
