About the position
The position involves leading the design, development, and implementation of effective training materials and programs for FirstEnergy Service Co. The role requires maintaining knowledge of current procedures, developing new policies, and ensuring adherence to safety practices. The selected candidate will mentor instructors, collect feedback, and assist in the administration of training programs, ensuring a high-quality learning environment for students.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and implementation of training materials and programs.
- Review and maintain knowledge of current procedures and departmental information.
- Develop and maintain communications regarding changes in policies and procedures.
- Design and develop training aids and conduct training programs.
- Collect and analyze feedback from supervision and students to improve training.
- Mentor instructors through observation and provide feedback.
- Assist in the administration of the training section, maintaining training materials and attendance records.
- Submit course, class, and registration information for student enrollment.
- Communicate training activities and outcomes with supervision.
- Complete projects by scheduled deadlines and suggest alternative plans when necessary.
Requirements
- Demonstrated skill and ability to perform at the instructor level.
- Associate Degree or higher with 2-4 years of training experience, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate training programs.
- Effective verbal communication skills to convey ideas clearly.
- Ability to conduct needs analysis and identify customer expectations.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in developing, implementing, or evaluating training programs.
- Technical experience in T&D skills or related fields.
