About the position
Point Ready Mix is seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher to work at our central dispatch center in Kenosha, WI. This full-time role involves managing concrete orders and deliveries, ensuring efficient operations while providing excellent customer service. The Dispatcher will utilize industry software to optimize delivery schedules and maintain professional relationships with customers.
Responsibilities
- Receive and schedule concrete orders and direct deliveries using industry software
- Handle heavy phone traffic gracefully
- Optimize delivery efficiency
- Establish professional relationships with customers
- Learn and comprehend technical aspects of our products
- Work as part of a dispatch team focused on customer service
- Understand and interpret union contracts as they relate to driver pay rules and scheduling
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with sales and quality control teams
Requirements
- Prior dispatch experience required
- Strong computer, math, and phone skills are essential
- Knowledge of areas in Northern Illinois west to Rockford and Southeast Wisconsin is a must
- Must be able to work flexible hours
