About the position
The Dishwasher position at Bob Evans Restaurants is essential for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring that clean dishes are readily available for service. This role supports the restaurant's commitment to providing a high-quality dining experience by adhering to food safety guidelines and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Keep the dish tank area maintained and ensure cleaned dishes are available for service.
- Follow food safety guidelines for washing, drying, and storing dishware and utensils.
- Remove cardboard and grease, and maintain the cleanliness of the parking lot.
- Maintain cleanliness of property around the restaurant (i.e., foyer, front porch, sidewalk, etc.).
- Empty trash from designated areas throughout the shift.
- Work with other staff to ensure 100% guest satisfaction regarding dining room cleanliness.
- May assist in other job categories as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 0-2 years related experience in a restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time.
- Strong menu knowledge and ability to accurately read, organize, and coordinate tickets.
Nice-to-haves
- General knowledge of commercial dishwashing is preferred, but not required.
