About the position
Covenant Living, part of a nationwide family of Continuing Care Retirement Communities, is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join our culinary team in Turlock, California. The primary purpose of this position is to operate the dishwashing machine and ensure the orderly maintenance of all nutrition services storage areas. The Dishwasher will assist in various kitchen tasks, maintaining the dish room and equipment in accordance with the standard procedures of the dining services department. This role is essential in supporting the overall dining experience for our residents by ensuring cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen operations. In this position, the Dishwasher will be responsible for delivering clean water pitchers to nursing stations, maintaining stock areas in a neat and orderly fashion on a daily basis, and transporting carts to and from the appropriate dining areas. Operating the dishwashing machine is a key duty, along with monitoring and recording water temperatures and cleaning compound usage. The Dishwasher will perform cleaning assignments as directed, which includes cleaning and washing food-service carts, dishes, utensils, trays, pots, pans, and storing them appropriately. Proper sanitation practices must be followed in all food and service areas, and maintaining cleanliness in all work areas, equipment, and appliances is crucial. Additionally, the Dishwasher will deliver food requests to stations as needed, keep all kitchen work areas and dining rooms clear of dirty dishes, and perform other cleaning assignments as directed. Responsibilities also include sweeping and mopping floors and work areas, as well as assisting in the transportation of residents in case of fire, disaster, or emergency evacuation according to established procedures. This role is vital in ensuring a safe and pleasant dining environment for our residents.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Previous relevant experience is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written, with residents, family members, and staff is required.
