About The Position

We are seeking a Director of the Technical Marketing Engineering to lead Cisco’s Wireless Networking technical marketing team. This team plays a critical role in driving innovation and delivering technical expertise in wireless networking solutions. You will be part of a dynamic group that collaborates across multiple functions to influence product strategy and customer success. The team is passionate about advancing wireless technologies and supporting Cisco’s leadership in the industry. As Director, you will investigate emerging technologies, identify product opportunities, design architectures, and train the field. You will work closely with Product Management, Sales, Operations, Partners, Product Marketing, Customer Support, and Engineering teams. You will also serve as a spokesperson and visionary, leading strategy and technology conversations with customers at the C-suite level and Cisco’s Executive Leadership Team. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping Cisco’s wireless networking offerings and driving customer value.

Requirements

  • 5 years of demonstrable experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) or in leadership roles involving network design, architecture documentation, lab building, and solution evangelism for Wi-Fi networks.
  • 15+ years of proven experience in the IT industry delivering technical and business strategy at an advanced or strategist level.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computer or Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Sound understanding of RF and Wi-Fi technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of Wireless Networking offerings, services, and technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of campus networking including DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, fabric, and network security.
  • Awareness of Wi-Fi market dynamics and competitive landscape.
  • Flexibility to manage diverse daily activities and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Consulting skills to facilitate workshops, manage messaging, and inspire change.
