About the position
The Director of Project Development at LS Power is responsible for overseeing the project development phase of complex utility-scale projects. This role involves managing both internal and external resources to ensure project success, which includes activities such as market analysis, project conceptualization, engineering, site evaluations, public relations, environmental permitting, and contract negotiations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the project development phase for complex utility-scale projects.
- Set direction for internal and external resources and activities to ensure project success.
- Conduct market analysis and project conceptualization.
- Evaluate and acquire project sites.
- Manage public relations and environmental/regulatory permitting processes.
- Interface with infrastructure and negotiate contracts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering, economics, business, or a related field.
- 10 to 15 years of engineering and/or project management experience, preferably in developing utility-scale infrastructure projects.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments under time constraints.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with direction.
