About the position

The Director, Product Marketing will lead and be responsible for our end-to-end go-to-market strategy for core customer segments of Diligent Boards including managing positioning, messaging and pricing. The Director, Product Marketing will be an expert in understanding our clients and market and build stories to help us engage current and future clients for long-term success, all while creating demand in the market and differentiating us from the competition. This role’s impact will touch all parts of the company and help us fuel our growth as the market leader in this space. The Director, Product Marketing will be responsible for driving the success of Diligent’s Boards product across specific segments and regions. This role will be responsible for positioning and messaging, product launches, market research, sales enablement and other initiatives that push our brand and business forward. You will work with your peers in Product Marketing collaborating on our other GRC solutions as well with colleagues across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Enablement, Finance and more. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute go-to-market strategies for Governance, Risk, and Compliance solutions.
  • Provide foundational insights including market analysis, TAM, ICPs, personas, customer journey mapping, competitive analysis, and Voice of Customer to guide marketing and product decisions.
  • Develop compelling and consistent messaging for sales, customer success, and marketing teams.
  • Lead multi-channel campaigns in partnership with Sales and Marketing to achieve revenue and customer engagement targets.
  • Equip sales and customer success teams with training, tools, and assets to support pipeline development and revenue growth.
  • Create and implement annual/quarterly marketing plans that identify market opportunities and generate leads for sales teams.
  • Work with product, sales, marketing, and enablement teams to execute market research and align on positioning and messaging.
  • Develop compelling positioning and messaging for the GRC platform.
  • Collaborate with the Product Strategy team to monitor competitive landscape and customer feedback.
  • Lead cross-functional product launch activities, ensuring successful market introduction and customer education.
  • Define success metrics and measure the impact of product marketing efforts.
  • Define strategies for pricing, packaging, and product-market fit.
  • Serve as the product expert for sales and pre-sales teams.
  • Regularly collaborate with technical product management to prioritize initiatives.

Requirements

  • B2B product marketing experience in technology, GRC, corporate data/information, finance or professional services companies preferred.
  • Experience with legal and governance products and services and core persona buyers.
  • Ability to craft compelling stories, collateral, and tools around technology products and services.
  • Experience working with partners and agencies to develop sophisticated marketing materials.
  • Demonstrated insights experience to understand market, customers and competition.
  • Proven track of owning projects end-to-end and working autonomously.
  • Experience in executing operational and Go-To-Market plans.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS-based solutions and product marketing best practices.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing strategy development in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience within a product marketing or technical marketing role.
  • A proven track record of writing performance-driven product marketing plans.
  • Considerable experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders at the senior leadership level.
  • Adaptable and can deal with ambiguity and changing priorities.
