About the position

The Director of Aon's Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) is responsible for leading a strategic team that enhances procurement processes and methodologies across the organization. This role focuses on optimizing operations, engaging with senior leaders to improve key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving value while simplifying execution and enhancing user experience. The position requires a data-driven approach and procurement expertise to implement best practices and deliver analytical insights for informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Use deep procurement experience and a data-driven approach to innovate and improve procurement processes.
  • Manage Aon's end-to-end supplier lifecycle process, ensuring efficiency and risk management.
  • Oversee the implementation of third-party risk management and supplier relationship management programs.
  • Develop and provide training and change management for the organization regarding procurement expectations and changes.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for procurement through industry involvement and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain.
  • Experience within large, multinational, complex organizations preferred.
  • Experience in people leadership, managing direct reports and third-party support resources.
  • Exceptional communication skills for articulating complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
