The Director, Process Engineering at Stellantis Financial Services (SFS) plays a pivotal role in defining the framework, standards, and processes for process engineering across the organization. This position is not only about establishing guidelines but also actively engaging in process engineering efforts across various functions within SFS. The director is expected to foster a culture of process engineering throughout the company, ensuring that business units develop their own process engineering skills while adhering to the established framework and standards. This role involves leading a team of both full-time and contract resources dedicated to process engineering initiatives. In this capacity, the director will spearhead departmental and end-to-end process improvements, collaborating closely with business stakeholders and vendors to implement intentional process enhancements that drive efficiency, effectiveness, and key performance indicators (KPIs). The director will also liaise with the Director of Originations Systems Development to monitor the progress of Sprint Teams, ensuring that development and quality assurance testing meet high standards for improvements and production releases. Conducting market research to identify best practices in process and organizational structures will be essential for continuous enhancement of processes. The director will provide subject matter expertise to executive teams, focusing on optimizing both departmental and cross-departmental processes and controls. This role also involves consulting with business partners, subject matter experts, and IT on automation opportunities, as well as addressing escalated project concerns and requests related to process engineering engagements. Regular reporting on progress, projections, gaps, and potential needs will be a key responsibility, highlighting accomplishments, metrics, risks, and contingency planning. Additionally, the director will oversee the day-to-day activities of the Process Engineering team, providing guidance and support in alignment with company policies and procedures.
