About the position
The Director, Process Engineering at Stellantis Financial Services (SFS) plays a pivotal role in shaping the Process Engineering framework, standards, and processes across the organization. This position is not only about defining these frameworks but also actively engaging in process engineering efforts across various functions within SFS. The director is expected to foster a culture of process engineering throughout the company, ensuring that business units develop their own process engineering skills while adhering to the established frameworks and standards. This role involves leading a team of both full-time and contract resources dedicated to process engineering initiatives. In this capacity, the Director will spearhead departmental and end-to-end process improvements, collaborating closely with business stakeholders and vendors to implement intentional process enhancements that drive efficiencies, effectiveness, and key performance indicators (KPIs). The director will also liaise with the Director of Originations Systems Development to monitor the progress of Sprint Teams, ensuring that development and quality assurance testing meet high standards for improvements and production releases. Conducting market research to identify best-in-class processes and organizational structures will be essential for further enhancing SFS's processes. The director will provide subject matter expertise to executive teams on optimizing both departmental and cross-departmental processes and controls. This includes consulting with business partners, subject matter experts, and information technology teams to explore automation opportunities. Regular reporting on progress, projections, gaps, and potential needs will be a key responsibility, highlighting accomplishments, metrics, risks, and contingency planning. Additionally, the director will oversee the day-to-day activities and work schedules of the Process Engineering team, providing guidance in alignment with the company's policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop departmental and end-to-end process improvements for Stellantis Financial Services.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and vendors to implement process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Liaise with the Director of Originations Systems Development to monitor Sprint Team progress, ensuring high-quality improvements and production releases.
- Conduct market research to identify best-in-class processes and organizational structures for process enhancements.
- Provide subject matter expertise to executive teams on optimizing departmental and cross-departmental processes and controls.
- Consult with business partners and IT on automation opportunities.
- Review and resolve escalated project concerns, blockers, and requests for changes related to process engineering engagements.
- Regularly report on progress, projections, gaps, and potential needs, highlighting key accomplishments, metrics, risks, and contingency planning.
- Assist in directing the work of employees assigned to the department, overseeing their day-to-day activities and providing guidance.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience in the financial services industry, preferably in auto finance.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing a team of 5 or more employees.
- In-depth knowledge of auto finance processes, procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
- Familiarity with technologies such as MS Office, Visio, Miro, or similar process mapping software.
- Proven experience in applying process engineering discipline, including metrics-driven analyses and recommendations, and process KPIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate in ambiguity.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business/Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
