About the position

Datadog is the essential monitoring and security platform for cloud applications. We bring together end-to-end traces, metrics, and logs to make your applications, infrastructure, and third-party services entirely observable. Datadog's Finance team collaborates with teams across the organization, providing commercial, operational and analytical support to ensure that Datadog's business continues to scale rapidly and efficiently. As a FP&A leader, you will be tasked with driving Datadog's strategic decisions to support growth and efficiency targets. Reporting to the VP, FP&A, and working closely with the executive team, you will help to run annual planning cycles, partner with department leaders, and utilize financial data to inform business decisions. You will be a people manager tasked with the development and career progression of your group. Responsibilities

  • Running annual budget and planning process
  • Headcount planning, reporting and analytics, partnering closely with the People team
  • Business partnership to senior department heads, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Quarterly Board materials and executive presentations to communicate business results and forecasts
  • Strategic projects, which may include location strategy, new market strategy, and more
  • Partner with CorpDev on potential M&A transactions
  • Expense, P&L and cash flow forecasting and analytics
  • Partner with the Accounting team for monthly / quarterly flux analysis
  • Partner with IR for earnings preparation
  • Own the use of planning tool(s), Workday Adaptive Planning and/or Pigment
  • Work on other ad hoc projects and analytics

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience; Including time in FP&A and may include a background in investment banking, equity research, consulting, or other relevant field
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics
  • Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint with proven experience in building financial models and managing complex data
  • You are a clear, concise communicator that works well with others
  • Managerial and leadership experience

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or CFA is a plus but not required
  • Solid understanding of Pigment is a plus, but not required
  • Experience in or understanding of a consumption-based software business model
