As we expand our reach globally, Dandy is building the operating system for dental offices around the world—empowering clinicians and their teams with technology, innovation, and world-class support to achieve more for their practices, their people, and their patients. We are seeking a bold, visionary Global Director of Workforce Operations to lead our global team of 400+ CAD/CAM Designers across the U.S., Egypt, South Africa, and Costa Rica. This is not just an operational role—it’s a people leadership role at its core. You will be responsible for scaling a high-performing, globally distributed team while shaping the future of work at Dandy.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Dandy’s senior-most workforce leader across operational geographies, establishing us as an employer of choice in every region.
  • Drive global expansion strategies, including legal entity formation, office setup, and talent acquisition.
  • Represent Dandy externally, building relationships with local governments, academic institutions, and strategic partners.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local labor laws and maintain competitive global compensation strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse, high-performing team of 400+ global designers and regional people managers.
  • Build scalable, in-person workforce models that optimize quality, speed, and engagement.
  • Own workforce planning, performance frameworks, and professional development strategies across markets.
  • Proactively manage retention, absenteeism, and productivity through data and people-first solutions.
  • Oversee daily workforce operations to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality designs on time and at scale.
  • Implement standardized metrics and performance management systems to drive excellence across locations.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and training teams to build playbooks and improve workforce effectiveness.
  • Design quality assurance programs that tie individual and team performance to customer outcomes.
  • Partner with HR and Operations to align staffing plans with long-term business goals.
  • Lead the design of tools, dashboards, and models that forecast workforce capacity and mitigate risk.
  • Translate strategic objectives into regional execution plans, with clear ownership and accountability.
  • Champion change management initiatives that drive efficiency, resilience, and innovation across the global org.
  • Inspire a unified, values-driven culture across all time zones—one that champions teamwork, growth, and excellence.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to frontline and mid-level managers, investing in leadership development and succession planning.
  • Own and improve employee engagement and eNPS across all regions through meaningful feedback loops and targeted initiatives.
  • Champion connection and collaboration between HQ and regional teams to create a truly global workforce experience.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in operations, workforce leadership, or general management in high-growth, tech-enabled or service-driven organizations.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Proven track record managing and scaling large, distributed teams in multiple international locations.
  • Deep expertise in people leadership, including performance management, org design, and change leadership.
  • Strong business acumen with experience owning KPIs tied to quality, speed, and employee engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity; able to build trust across diverse teams.
  • Highly analytical, systems-oriented thinker with comfort using data to inform operational strategy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in technical disciplines (e.g., engineering, QA, manufacturing, math, or physics).
  • Experience in legal or regulatory leadership within international markets.
  • Familiarity with the dental, medtech, or healthcare industries.
  • Prior experience launching new geographies or building vendor ecosystems in emerging markets.
