About the position

The Director of Wound Management Home Health Clinic Operations oversees the management of complex wound patients across various geographic areas. This role involves guiding wound care activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and clinical standards, and collaborating with leadership to enhance patient care quality. The director is responsible for developing best practices in wound and ostomy care, analyzing clinical quality outcomes, and providing education and training on digital wound management systems. This position plays a crucial role in driving business growth and improving patient experiences within the home health clinic operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee management of complex wound patients across geographic areas.
  • Guide wound care activities of assigned wound SMEs including WTAs and other certified clinicians.
  • Ensure provision of services consistent with government laws/regulations and clinical standards.
  • Collaborate to develop annual clinical education.
  • Assist with development and implementation of Best Practices related to wound and ostomy care.
  • Monitor and improve the quality of patient care as part of the leadership team.
  • Collect and analyze data related to Clinical Quality Outcomes and provide reporting.
  • Serve as Tier 2 Escalation in Wound Escalation Process and discuss best practice interventions with clinicians.
  • Provide education and training on Digital Wound Management documentation system.
  • Participate in Wound Treatment Associate (WTA®) Program as Course Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure within at least one State; Compact/multi-state license preferred
  • Active Wound Care Certification accredited by a National Board
  • 3 or more years of Home Health experience
  • 8 or more years of technical experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience with delivering presentations to all levels of leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to translate analytics into action
  • Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and experience in Digital Wound Management Systems
  • Active Ostomy Certification preferred
  • Project leadership experience
  • Project Management or Six Sigma certification
