About The Position

1X is building humanoid robots for home use, aiming to give people their time back by handling chores and tasks. This requires solving complex challenges in robotics, AI, and manufacturing at scale, ensuring safety for home environments. NEO is their flagship home robot designed for real-world operation alongside people, and the company is focused on shipping it. They are scaling and hiring intentionally, seeking individuals inspired by the mission to change how humans spend their time by safely creating abundance. The Infrastructure team builds and operates the environments that enable robots and their creators to perform at their best. This includes scaling manufacturing and lab spaces, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational excellence across all sites, and providing the physical foundation for innovation and production. The Infrastructure team is critical in accelerating execution by delivering world-class workplaces and operational readiness, allowing engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to move faster and scale smarter. The Infrastructure team is responsible for building and operating the physical foundation that enables 1X to scale humanoid robotics from development to production. This team ensures manufacturing sites, labs, warehouses, and workplaces are safe, reliable, and operationally excellent environments where engineering, production, and business teams can move with speed and focus. As 1X rapidly scales, Infrastructure is on the company’s critical path, enabling operational readiness, infrastructure scalability, and execution velocity across every site.
