About The Position

Texas Western Hospitality is seeking an experienced, results driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the commercial strategy for two of downtown Waco's premier hotels: the Hilton Waco and the Courtyard by Marriott Waco. Located on opposite sides of the Waco Convention Center, these properties represent the heart of Waco's meetings, events, corporate travel, and leisure tourism market. The Courtyard by Marriott completed a comprehensive renovation in December 2025, and the Hilton Waco is currently undergoing a full transformation scheduled for completion in August 2026. This is an exceptional opportunity for a sales leader who wants to capitalize on significant property investments and drive market share growth across two highly visible assets. The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for both hotels, driving revenue growth across all market segments while building a high performing sales culture. This leader will oversee all sales, marketing, revenue generation, business development, and customer relationship initiatives to maximize profitability and strengthen each hotel's market position.

Requirements

  • Proven success leading hotel sales teams and exceeding revenue goals
  • Experience managing group, catering, business transient, and leisure market segments
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
  • Experience working with revenue management and forecasting processes

Responsibilities

  • Drive Revenue Performance: Lead all sales and marketing efforts across group, catering, business transient, and leisure segments to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability goals.
  • Optimize Pricing and Business Mix: Partner with property leadership to develop and execute strategic pricing initiatives, forecast demand, evaluate market opportunities, and establish the ideal business mix throughout the year.
  • Turn Data Into Action: Lead the Sales & Marketing Optimization Process by analyzing performance trends, identifying opportunities, adjusting strategies, and presenting meaningful insights through regular commercial reviews.
  • Strengthen Market Presence: Develop and execute strategic sales plans that increase visibility, generate qualified leads, and expand relationships with key accounts, meeting planners, organizations, and community partners.
  • Ensure Brand Excellence: Oversee all sales and marketing activities to ensure alignment with Hilton and Marriott brand standards, corporate identity guidelines, and approved communication platforms.
  • Build and Develop Talent: Recruit, coach, and develop a high performing sales team through effective leadership, accountability, professional development, and recognition programs.
