This role is responsible for promoting and building the Joeris bold promise, mission, vision, and values to employees. The Director of Risk Management will oversee all corporate and project-specific insurance programs, including General Liability, Builder's Risk, Workers' Compensation, Auto Liability, Umbrella/Excess Liability, Professional Liability, Pollution Liability, Cyber Liability, Executive Risk Insurance, OCIP/CCIP programs, Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI), and the Company's captive program. This position will lead annual insurance renewals, coordinate underwriting submissions, and manage relationships with brokers, carriers, third-party administrators, actuarial consultants, and other risk advisors. The role involves analyzing coverage terms, monitoring insurance costs, and developing strategies to improve the total cost of risk. Additionally, the Director will oversee Builder's Risk program operations, including per-project BR requests, questionnaires, and coordination of owner-provided BR coverage, as well as the Master Builders Risk (MBR) program. Contract review and risk transfer are key responsibilities, including reviewing owner contracts, subcontracts, vendor agreements, and purchase orders for risk exposure and ensuring appropriate indemnification, insurance, and limitation of liability provisions. The role also involves establishing and enforcing subcontractor insurance compliance requirements and leading the subcontractor prequalification program. Claims management across all lines of insurance, including directing investigations and resolution, maintaining loss run analysis, and overseeing incident documentation, is also a core function. The Director will serve as the Company's focal point for employee work-related injury case management and will develop and lead the company's enterprise risk management framework. Collaboration with Safety leadership, surety oversight, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Legal, and Marketing are essential. Financial and reporting responsibilities include developing and managing departmental budgets and preparing executive-level reporting. The role also involves leading and mentoring risk management and insurance personnel and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and proactive risk awareness.
