About the position

The Director of Quality at Envision Technology is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes within the company, ensuring that all products meet the required standards from incoming inspection to final testing. This role requires a proactive approach to continuous improvement and collaboration with various departments to achieve quality and production objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous improvement to the quality plan ensuring documentation is updated
  • Manage failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action plans
  • Supervise quality technician
  • Inspect incoming components against documented drawings
  • Conduct final and in-process testing of prototype assemblies and production units
  • Process and provide evaluation of test results to engineers and program management
  • Provide analysis in support of company production and quality objectives
  • Ensure timely disposition of non-conforming materials
  • Develop and implement both hardware and software system level test programs, plans, specifications, procedures, and customer acceptance from design verification through production
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to ensure company goals for on-time delivery, product quality, and workplace safety are being met
  • Other tasks as assigned to meet the needs of the organization

Requirements

  • 10 years equivalent work experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Technical aptitude of electro-optical systems for defense applications
  • Attention to detail, neatness of work performed and being creative
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work alone and with others, with self-motivation and a can-do attitude
  • Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and managing time efficiently
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-810H considered a plus
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, keyboards, and quality inspection equipment
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs as required
