About the position

The Director of Program Impact & Continuous Improvement at the Center for Supportive Schools (CSS) will lead the evaluation and impact assessment of community schools, focusing on enhancing student engagement and academic performance. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that support continuous improvement within the community school network. The director will also be responsible for data management, analysis, and the dissemination of best practices to ensure the effectiveness of CSS's community school initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate practices to enhance student progress within the CSS community school network.
  • Coordinate partnerships for sustainable community schools programming in New York City.
  • Assist the Executive Director with logistics for special events and site visits.
  • Document best practices through regular school visits and support key initiatives.
  • Assess quantitative and qualitative data to identify successful areas and challenges.
  • Create data snapshots for community schools and external partners.
  • Maintain data systems showcasing the impact of CSS's community school strategy.
  • Research and network with school districts across the country.
  • Track performance of community school partners providing contracted services.
  • Develop toolkits and resources for best practice implementation across the community school network.
  • Create customizable data trackers and conduct data analysis for various metrics.
  • Support yearly needs and asset assessment processes in community schools.
  • Collaborate with the Advancement Team for data collection for fundraising and partnerships.
  • Enhance alignment of data systems assessing community school impact with the Program Impact team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in public service industries such as education, social services, or public policy.
  • Experience with school-based program evaluation.
  • Ability to establish connections with schools and foster partnerships.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and crafting data visualizations.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement practices and team-based change management.
  • Experience working with diverse communities and school-aged youth.
  • Knowledge of K-12 education reform and student support services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in program implementation is desirable.
  • Knowledge of community organizing and youth development theories.
  • Experience in research, such as co-authoring reports and creating data reports.
