About the position
The Director of Plant Operations at Friends Hospital is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of the hospital's facilities, ensuring that all utilities and distribution systems are efficiently managed. This role involves coordinating safety and operational activities across departments, managing the housekeeping department to maintain cleanliness standards, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for all staff and patients.
Responsibilities
- Administer and direct the program to maintain buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Ensure efficient procurement and generation of all utilities and their distribution systems.
- Coordinate safety and general activities with all departments and department heads.
- Oversee the housekeeping department to ensure hospital cleanliness standards are consistently met.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Five to ten years of progressive experience in supervision and maintenance required.
- Specific experience in maintenance installation, construction, and maintenance of grounds, utilities, and buildings.
Nice-to-haves
