About the position

The Director of People & Culture at Sage Hospitality is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of People Resource functions at the property. This role focuses on developing and implementing a talent management plan that aligns with the strategic and operational needs of the business, ensuring a positive work environment while addressing challenges and opportunities. The Director acts as a strategic advisor to the Executive Committee on all people-related matters and reports directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct the People Resource function to retain, develop, and motivate associates.
  • Manage recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and orientation processes to maintain staffing levels.
  • Oversee performance management and ensure timely completion of performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate development and monitoring of associate performance improvement plans.
  • Assess training needs and implement management and supervisory training programs.
  • Counsel and train managers on associate relations issues and resolve grievances.
  • Implement associate relations programs to maintain a pro-associate environment.
  • Formulate budgets for associate relations, training, and recruitment advertising.
  • Supervise People Resource operations and conduct performance reviews.
  • Develop and recommend the hotel's People Resource objectives and participate in total management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resources or related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in human resources or a related field.
  • Proven successful implementation of people resource processes.
  • Bilingual fluency preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
