As the Director of Outpatient Services, you will oversee the operation and strategic direction of clinical support activities at the facility, focusing on maintaining high standards of care. Your role will involve managing program goals, staff, resources, and equipment, implementing program objectives, overseeing the budget, and ensuring compliance with standards set by regulatory bodies. This position requires a proactive and empathetic leader committed to improving patient care and staff performance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement program goals, objectives, personnel, resources and equipment.
  • Implement the approved program plan objectives, timetables, expected outcome and measures for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Oversee the program's budget and policies regarding participant involvement, program requirements, and benefits.
  • Direct counselors, clinical staff or other facility/clinic staff involved in the delivery of services through the program.
  • Provide staff management including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication.
  • Develop and assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the hospital.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, laws and certification standards established by JCAHO, Medicare and other regulatory agencies.
  • Supervise the maintenance of patient records to ensure required quality documentation and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Make recommendations for, develop, and carry out improvements to the program to meet changing mission parameters and requirements.
  • Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers and resolve complaints when patient needs are not met.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a behavioral health field required.
  • LPC, LCSW, LCPC, LMFT or equivalent required.
  • Four or more years' experience working in behavioral health preferred in an IOP, or PHP setting.
  • Two or more years' management experience required.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility.
