About the position

The Hospice Director of Operations in Butler, PA is responsible for overseeing the organizational and financial management of the care center, ensuring quality patient care, and leading operational functions in accordance with established policies and standards. This role requires a strong background in hospice care and supervisory experience, with a focus on business development and continuous improvement of care center efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall organizational and financial management of the care center.
  • Ensures enhancement of business development and continuous improvement of care center efficiency and fiscal success.
  • Provides supervision to the clinical manager(s) to ensure quality care delivery to patients.
  • Provides input and guidance related to marketing activities and care center marketing plan.
  • Coaches, directs, and encourages staff.
  • Implements a performance improvement program to drive quality care and positive patient outcomes.
  • Addresses and corrects issues identified during internal or external surveys or audits.
  • Remains available to the care center at all times, in person or by phone.
  • Responsible for employment decisions for direct report staff.

Requirements

  • RN or NP License in PA.
  • Associates degree in business or clinical related field.
  • Two years hospice experience and at least one year of supervisory experience, or two years experience in leadership/management in healthcare or hospice.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business or clinical related field and licensed clinical professional.
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN or other healthcare professional specific to that state.
